This is Part 2 of the series, "How I Got $120 Worth of Groceries for ONLY $7!"
If you missed Part 1, read it here HERE.

In Part 1, I mentioned a couple of important couponing lessons:

  • There are LOTS of ways to save $$$ on groceries! But first, you need to track your spending!
  • The term "Coupon Matchup" refers to when an item is on sale at the store AND there is a coupon for that item out there.
  • Don't be afraid to split orders into multiple transactions.
  • Make sure you count right and order in multiples of 6 if you're trying to save the most during Kroger's Buy 6, Save $3 Mega Event. (Meijer's 10 for $10, 11th Free sale is not the same. If you buy 1 or 2, each will be $1 if you use your mPerks number).
  • Kroger has a Friday Freebie! Just make sure to clip the coupon online each Friday!
  • You don't have to buy six of the same item in a promotion like Buy 6, Save $3! Mix and match!

In this post, you'll find a list of coupon matchup sites, great apps to get cash back, and good coupon-clipping sites. I'd ask that if you sign up for the coupon and cash back sites, you use my referral code so I can earn rewards! Thanks in advance!

In the last post, I described how it got $46 worth of groceries for $3.30. That was this past Monday, and on Tuesday, I went back with a little more planning and raked in almost double what I did the day before! In this post, I'll go through (in a little less detail) how I got the rest, $72 worth of groceries, for $3.73. I should also mention that it does take some time to pull together all of my coupons and make a shopping list. I'd say over both days, I spent maybe 2 hours planning (in between baby's naps, changings, feedings, life, etc.) and hour or so shopping.
